David M. Lampinen, 55, a resident of Chassell passed away unexpectedly Wednesday March 8, 2017, at his home.
He was born on November 12, 1961, in Chassell, MI, a son of the late Roy G. and Dorothy T. (Golden) Lampinen. David graduated from Chassell High School and Michigan Technological University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
He then worked in Traverse City and Negaunee as an engineer, was the Director of Public Works in L’Anse, and for the past three years had worked in Facilities Management for Michigan Technological University.
Mr. Lampinen was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Chassell. He also enjoyed hunting and was an avid Detroit Lions Fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be held 11 am Tuesday March 14, 2017, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Chassell with Fr. Ben Hasse to celebrate.
Friends may call on Monday March 13, 2017, from 5 to 7 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell.
